BIOGRAPHY
Michael Siskov was born on november 14th, 1982 in Vienna, Austria. At the age of six he started taking his first piano lessons by Ingrid Siakala. Some years later he continued his musical education at the viennese conservatory (Konservatorium für Musik und darstellende Kunst, Johannesgasse Wien), in the class of professor Karl Barth. He also participated the masterclass held by László Baranyay of the Franz Liszt Academy Budapest, Hungary. Furthermore, he took lessons with Renate Silberbauer and Jung-Hee Lee. In 2002, he graduated from Musikgymnasium Wien, Neustiftgasse.
Siskov joined the progressive metal band "Siren's Cry" on keyboards and also participates in songwriting. He has been a permanent bandmember for several years. Siskov performs on stage as keyboarder and singer in different projects of the Philharmonia Choir Vienna, the Vienna Burg Theater or the Konzertdirektion Landgraf.
Music for pictures and games is a great passion for Michael Siskov. In 2015 he got the second place at the Vienna competition for filmmusic for the composition of new filmmusic for a scene of the movie "The Dark Valley". Siskov also writes music for radio plays and melodramas. The music of the short radio play "The monster named Tarasque" has been honored with the eighth place at Ö1-short-radioplay-competition.
